PREPARING FOR YOUR FIRST CLASS

At our school, you will be working within a collective. We ask that you take responsibility for how your energy and behaviors impact those around you.

RESERVATIONS

Browse the schedule on the website or our web app to select a day and time for your first class. Classes must be prepaid before reserving space. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early, even if you have a reservation.

Walk-ins are accepted on a “space-available” basis.

Late arrivals are not admitted. No exceptions.

HYDRATE

Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your first class. Hydrate again after class. We do not prohibit drinking water during class, but it’s wise to limit consumption to prevent nausea or unexpectedly having to use the bathroom.

WHAT TO EAT

Come to class on a mostly empty stomach, yet not completely fasted. We recommend eating a light meal three hours before class or a snack two hours before class.

WHAT TO BRING

Bring a yoga mat if you have one, at least one towel large enough to cover the entire mat (two towels are better), and water to drink. Specialty yoga mats and towels may be rented or purchased at the studio.

Please click here for our guide on how to properly set up your practice space.

WHAT TO WEAR

Wear clothes that stretch and move with your body. Shorts and a tank top are a good choice for both men and women. Leggings or a sports bra are good choices, too.

We advise against wearing baggy pants, cotton shirts, or clothes with zippers, snaps, buttons, or drawstrings.

ARRIVE EARLY

Punctuality is essential. Plan to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled class time to register and set-up your practice space. Doors are closed promptly at the scheduled class time according to our cell phones. Late arrivals are not admitted regardless of circumstances.

SAY HELLO AND SIGN IN

We value personal connections with our students and enjoy a quick chat at the front desk when you come in. If you have asthma, injuries, chronic pain, or nervousness, please discuss your concerns with the instructor before class begins.

SET UP YOUR SPOT

Remember to leave all electronic devices in the lobby. If it’s your first visit, our staff will guide you to a good spot. Relax on your mat or chat with the other students. Unlike most yoga studios, we enjoy socializing in the classroom before class.

TIME TO DO YOGA!

Your teacher will guide you through the class with specific verbal instructions. Listen carefully and follow along to the best of your ability. Remember, you are part of a collective. Work in unison with your instructor and the students around you.

No matter your ability, you will realize all the benefits that Bikram Yoga has to offer as long as you have good intentions and do your best.

TAKE YOUR TIME AND THANK YOURSELF

Give yourself enough time after class to avoid rushing to your next obligation. Enjoy the feeling of being invigorated and relaxed.

Enjoy the afterglow!
Come again soon.

WE DO NOT HAVE SHOWERS

Local water restrictions make indoor showers a very complex and costly amenity. However, we have a lovely patio where you can cool down and enjoy some sunshine, a gentle breeze, and a friendly vibe.
