Sweet Heat Hot Yoga

Do you teach other classes besides yoga?

No, we teach only Bikram Yoga. By focusing on just one method our instructors build expertise, depth and craftsmanship in one classical, time-tested posture series.

Can I reserve a spot?

Yes, please download our app to register and reserve your space. Our class size limit at this time is 15 people.

Walk-ins will be accepted on a stand-by basis only

What is the minimum age to do hot yoga?

Students must be at least 14 years old to attend class. No exceptions. If you are between the ages of 14 and 17, a parent or guardian over the age of 18 must participate in your first class with you.

How hot is the room?

The classroom is heated to 105 degrees and 40%-50% humidity.

Do you have showers?

Local water restrictions prohibit our school from having indoor showers. We DO have a cold outdoor shower where you can rinse off after class. All areas of the studio are shared among all students (except the bathrooms, of course), so please, no nudity.

I’m worried about being so hot but I really want to try.

Discuss any concerns with your instructor prior to the start of class. Just do the best you can and rest on your yoga mat when you need to. Drink plenty of fluids before, during and after class. It takes about 2 weeks to begin to acclimate to the temperature.

Can I do yoga if I’m sick? I think I’ll feel better if I sweat it out.

NO!! If you are not feeling well, and especially if you have a fever or cough, please stay at home! Pushing through an illness may make it worse and will likely make others sick, too.

What if traffic is bad and I get there late?

Late arrivals are not admitted; the door is closed and locked at the posted class time. Plan your travel time accordingly. This is necessary for your safety and to eliminate disruption in the classroom.

I’m visiting from out of town, can I get a package deal?

All classes and rentals are purchased a la carte. This allows you to purchase &/or rent exactly what you need without the need to over-buy.

I’m not flexible, and I have joint pain, will this work for me?

Then you’ve come to the right place! You will receive all of the powerful benefits of yoga no mater what your ability as long as your do your best. Your instructor will show you how to modify your poses to work with and within your limitations.

Is this studio the same as Bikram Yoga Monterey Bay? I see both on Google.

Yes, we are the same studio. We simply changed the name.

Where should I park?

There is FREE 2-hour street parking on Central Avenue and on surrounding side streets. If you park 2+ blocks away you can park for free all day. Please do not park in the 20-minute space in front of the studio; you will likely get a ticket.
